The objective
Students needed a way to assess their readiness before choosing a university chemistry degree.
The experience
In a cross-platform adventure, students explore rooms, solve chemistry, mathematics, and physics puzzles, and complete virtual laboratory tasks.
A map of the laboratory rooms tracks progress, and finishing the game earns a seal and a final screen with the total time.
The results
The joint research group at the Universities of Bologna and Parma, working with IV Productions, gained a practical student self-assessment tool.
Its modular structure lets subject experts add content without rebuilding the game.
