Give teammates a reason to depend on each other.

Space Crew gives remote colleagues a shared mission that depends on clear communication and coordinated decisions.

The objective

SNAM needed onboarding and team building that worked over a video call, without extra hardware or a downloaded app.

Every player needed a meaningful role, and facilitators needed material for a practical debrief.

The experience

Up to seven players and one game master board the spaceship Echo V. No one is the captain.

Each player holds partial information and a distinct responsibility.

Across four levels, the crew advances by sharing what only individuals can see, listening closely, and agreeing on the next action.

The results

The prototype began in SNAM's Open Innovation program.

Its uConsole format has since supported hundreds of players across companies, studios, and clients, including Game2Value and AnotheReality.

SNAM testing included new hires and senior staff. Facilitators used each mission's decisions and handoffs to open a team conversation.

Progress depends on exchanging information.

Tasks and controls are split across devices. A teammate has the control you need, so progress depends on clear instructions and timely responses.

Read the task

Identify the instruction on your screen and what the crew needs to do.

Shared mission

One outcome. Partial information. Coordinated action.

Share the information

Tell teammates what you see so they can find the matching control.

Coordinate the response

Use your phone controls when the crew needs them to complete the task.

Read the task, Share the information, Coordinate the response each hold incomplete information. They must exchange what they know to complete one shared mission.
